Brio / 博阅 privacy

Brio is an offline book reader. Books you add stay on this device. We do not create an account for you and we do not upload your files to our servers.

What stays on the device

• Imported TXT, EPUB, PDF, and ZIP archives of those files — text extracted on the phone or tablet
• Reading progress, fonts, theme, and language preference
• The first-launch timestamp used for the 30-day trial (Keychain / encrypted preferences)

What leaves the device

• Unlock and Restore Purchases talk to Apple or Google so they can charge and verify the lifetime product. Books are not sent with that request.
• If you contact support from the store listing, you choose what to send in that email.

PDF and EPUB

PDF and EPUB are opened as extracted text, not as a print layout. Password-protected PDFs and DRM-encrypted EPUBs are refused. There is no OCR.

Contact
